In the fall of 2008, I was very excited when I was able to acquire a breeding stud of true tiger grizzle black mottles. These are not simply splash or pied birds. A true tiger grizzle mottled is solid colored in the nest and does not have any white feathers until it molts into its adult plumage. We will have a limited number available in 2009.
